CAVE-LINK

The Cave-Link system is made of different components which can be combined by waterproof cable and T-pieces.

Base Station ("Cave-Link")

Earth current modem for communication thru rock and earth with user interface to write and read messages and for system configuration. Also contains a rechargeable battery.

GSM-Modem

Connects the Cave-Link system to the GSM mobile communication system.
This module can establish a SMS communication or an internet connection to transfer measured data. Also a connection between two Cave-Link systems can be done via GSM.

Wireless Communication Modem

Connects Cave-Link components via wireless link. If no GSM coverage is available, this modem can connect Cave-Link to a place covered with GSM.

Journal Printer

Rescues (hopefully just training) can be documented with this journal printer.

Measurement Box

Takes measurements of physical parameters (pressure, temperature, pH, CO2, etc.) and transfers the data to the Cave-Link base station. A high capacity rechargeable battery can be connected.

Loud Horn

Gives a loud signal at an incoming message.
